To address the council about any item on the workshop or regular agenda, you must register with the city secretary by 3 p.m. or call 979-764-3500 and provide your name and phone number. Written comments will be provided to the council members.
Here are five items to watch:
1. BVEDC Compliance Report
The council will review the 2020 Incentive Compliance Report by the Brazos Valley Economic Development Corporation.
2. YMCA Feasibility Study
The council will discuss a recent feasibility survey regarding a College Station Community Recreation Center in collaboration with the YMCA of Greater Williamson County.
3. Gus Roy Road Land Use
After a public hearing, the council will consider a request to change the land use designation from Wellborn Preserve-Open to Wellborn Commercial for about two acres along Gus Roy Road and Victoria Avenue. The applicant intends to develop warehouses and offices.
4. FY 21 Bond Authorization
The council will consider authorizing up to $62.44 million in certificates of obligation to fund capital projects involving streets, information technology, facilities, fleet vehicles, and electric, water, and sewer system improvements.
5. Disaster Declaration Renewal
The council will consider consenting to the extension of the mayor’s COVID-19 disaster declaration to allow the city to continue receiving emergency pandemic-related funding.
