The College Station City Council will conduct workshops Monday and Tuesday to explore the city’s proposed FY 2021-22 budget.
Monday’s first session covers the General Fund, Enterprise Funds, and The Hotel Tex Fund. Tuesday’s final workshop explores Capital Funds and Outside Agencies. Each workshop starts at 1 p.m.
The proposal was presented to the council on July 8. A public hearing on the budget and tax rate is July 27, followed by adoption as early as Aug. 12.
The budget reflects somewhat of a return to normal operations after significant adjustments during the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Last week, we posted a series of podcasts with Director of Fiscal Services Mary Ellen Leonard that takes a deeper dive into the budget and the unique challenges that were part of its development.
The budget workshops can be accessed through Zoom. We’ll post the presentations each day as they are presented:
- General Fund (Monday)
- Enterprise Funds (Monday)
- Hotel Tax Fund (Monday)
- Capital Fund (Tuesday)
- Outside Agencies (Tuesday)
