Everyone knows college football is a big deal in College Station, but that doesn’t mean the Aggie football team will have all the gridiron fun this fall. Kids ages 6-12 also eagerly anticipate the College Station Parks and Recreation Department’s 7-on-7 football season.

The 7-on-7 football league provides a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action while learning essential lessons in teamwork. In addition, players gain valuable experience on both offense and defense.

Registration ends Aug. 29, and the season runs from Sept. 6-Nov. 18. You can register online, by phone at 979-764-3486, or stop by our Central Park office at 1000 Krenek Tap Road. The cost is $80 for residents and $96 for non-residents.

Players can register for either Monday/Wednesday/Saturday or Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday practices. Games are played on weeknights between 6:30-9:30 p.m., and Saturday practices are between 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Practices and games are at Stephen C. Beachy Central Park.

We Need Volunteer Coaches!

Without dedicated volunteers, our programs can’t grow and prosper. So what better way for a parent to help than to volunteer as a coach? We need coaches for every age division. You don’t need any experience -- we provide the help and resources you need to coach a fun and successful season.

To apply as a volunteer coach, go to cstx.gov/sportsvolunteer. Volunteers must also complete a background check.

Kyle Field will be rocking this fall, but don’t miss being part of the action at Beachy Central Park!
