Share your valued input on the Parks & Rec Master Plan at September’s Pop-Up in the Park Events

Connecting Parks, People, Possibilities is the overarching goal as the College Station Parks and Recreation Department updates our 10-year Master Plan.

Which park is your favorite? Which parks need improvement? What is working well, and where can the system be improved?

Residents are invited to answer those questions and share ideas at two Pop-Up in the Park events in September. Your valuable feedback will help shape the future of your parks, which are essential to College Station’s health, culture, and quality of life.

The Master Plan serves as a roadmap to guide decisions about park amenities, facilities, programs, and system connections throughout the community. Staff members have been meeting residents where they gather, such as at parks, programs, and events, to hear their thoughts.

The Pop-Up in the Park events are another opportunity to share your input while enjoying music, refreshments, and lawn games.

Pop-Up in the Park Schedule
Thursday, Sept. 18 | 6–7:30 p.m. | Beachy Central Park Pavilion
Bring a blanket or a fishing pole to enjoy the park amenities after participating.
Wednesday, Sept. 24 | 6–9 p.m. | Wolf Pen Creek Festival Site
Grab dinner and enjoy lawn games while sharing ideas during Food Truck Wednesday.

The Pop-Up events will focus on park amenities, the park system, and planning priorities. Community feedback will guide the Master Plan and help shape the city’s parks for the next decade.

Parents, athletes, students, seniors, and nature enthusiasts are encouraged to share their ideas to help create a vision that grows with College Station and keeps the community connected to our parks.
