There’s something special about live music in College Station.

Maybe it’s the way a crowd naturally comes together when the first guitar chord hits, or how certain songs instantly take you back to late nights in Northgate, tailgates with friends, or those extraordinary Aggieland weekends that become lifelong memories.

On Saturday, that unmistakable Aggie energy is going prime time.

Visit College Station, in partnership with Forefront Studios, is hosting a free live concert and taping of the Texas Music Scene television program at Aggie Park. The gates open at 3 p.m., and the show begins at 4.

Originally scheduled for April, the event was postponed when the weather failed to cooperate. The delay has only heightened anticipation for what promises to be an unforgettable evening celebrating Texas music, Aggie pride and the stories that unite them.

Built for Aggieland

If you know Texas songwriting, you’re familiar with the event's special performer, Jamie Lin Wilson. Her storytelling is celebrated for its honesty, grit, and emotional depth. With albums such as “Holidays & Wedding Rings” and “Jumping Over Rocks,” she’s become one of the most respected voices in Americana music.

As an Aggie, Wilson’s addition to the lineup is particularly fitting for a night showcasing how College Station shapes not just students, but also artists, creators, and storytellers who carry a piece of Aggieland with them wherever they go.

The lineup also features Austin Meade, Julianna Rankin, Bleu Edmondson, and Garrett Talamantes — artists with Texas A&M ties whose careers have taken them across Texas and beyond while remaining rooted in Aggie soil.

Clearly, this isn’t just another concert.

You’re the Co-Star

What makes Saturday night truly unique is the live taping for Texas Music Scene, an award-winning series hosted by Jack Ingram that reaches millions of households. That means you’ll not only experience outstanding live music — you’ll be part of the story and the electricity that comes with the live taping of a popular television program.

Years from now, when this episode airs, it will serve as a time capsule of Aggie Park at its best. And for those in attendance, it’ll be one of those “I was there for that” moments.

That’s what makes the event so special.

Aggie Park Sets the Stage

Nestled in the heart of campus, Aggie Park has become one of College Station’s most iconic gathering spaces — a place where traditions are celebrated, memories are made, and community comes naturally. Seeing an all-Aggie lineup performing there is more than just entertainment; it’s poetic.

Bring your friends, your lawn chairs, and your loudest Aggie spirit!
