On Sunday, the City of College Station proudly celebrated Women in Engineering Day in recognition of the invaluable contributions of female engineers and to encourage more women to pursue careers in that dynamic field.
The remarkable engineers who work for the City have made a significant and growing impact on our innovation, sustainability, and overall quality of life. Women in Engineering Day was established to highlight the achievements of women engineers and remind us to encourage young girls and women to explore engineering as a career path.
The skilled and capable work of College Station's talented and dedicated female engineers enhances our community in countless ways. Let's take a moment to recognize some of these outstanding professionals:

About the Blogger
Bobbie Lehrmann is in her first year as the City's assistant director of public communications. She comes to College Station from the City of Navasota, where she served as marketing and communications director. Lehrmann lived most of her life in Australia and received a bachelor's degree in journalism and media communications from Queensland University of Technology.
