Nothing matches SEC football game day weekend in Aggieland, especially when it's the long-awaited renewal of the Lone Star Showdown! But the action and excitement aren’t limited to Kyle Field.

The Heart of Aggieland is renowned for its timeless traditions, incredible food, and indomitable spirit. We know you're eager to experience one of the nation's top college towns, so here are 10 can’t-miss ways to have an unforgettable visit.

1. First Stop: Brunch!

A delicious meal is the best way to start your day in Aggieland. From chicken and waffles to shrimp and grits, our Top Brunch Spots are guaranteed to satisfy your palate.

2. Game Day Merch

The unifying element of game day in The Heart of Aggieland® is Aggie maroon. Several one-stop shops provide essential apparel, accessories, tailgate supplies, and much more. Aggieland Outfitters,  Hullabaloo AveMaroon Uand The Warehouse @ C.C Creations are among the stops to care for all your game day needs.

3. Hometown Tailgate/Free Game Shuttle

Visit College Station invites residents, Aggies, and visiting fans to our SEC Hometown Tailgate at 3:30 p.m. until game time at the College Station Visitor Center in front of City Hall on Texas Avenue.

The party features live music, snacks, yard games, exclusive merchandise, complimentary parking, and a free shuttle to the game and back!

When you arrive, check in with the Candy 95 folks to get a shuttle wristband and your Visit College Station stadium-approved bag. 

The community tailgate is also a fantastic opportunity to take photos at the popular “I Heart Aggieland” sign across the city hall lawn. 

4. Live Music

The Front Porch at Century Square has live music featuring local and regional artists on Friday and Saturday nights (times vary based on kickoff) and Sunday afternoons. The free events are open to the public and pet and kid-friendly. Hear great music and enjoy drinks and dinner from surrounding restaurants.

Meanwhile, Hurricane Harry’s features various country artists and bands with advance tickets available. Other live music venues include Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheatre, The Tap, Shiner Park, and the Canteen Bar & Grill. Stay updated about our live music events at visit.cstx.gov/events.

5. Historic Northgate

One of the oldest and most revered Aggie traditions is Northgate. The vibrant entertainment district’s roots began in the 1930s and expanded as A&M grew, and students and faculty needed a place to eat, drink, and be merry. No game day weekend is complete without a stop in famous establishments such as the Dixie ChickenThe Corner Bar and Rooftop Grill, or Chimy’s to absorb a piece of history – and some tasty food!

6. Century Square Biergarten

Every Friday to Sunday through Nov. 26, Century Square hosts the Century Square Biergarten. Enjoy shaded picnic tables on The Green, live music from show-stopping local and regional artists, ice-cold brews from nearby bars, to-go food from some of the best restaurants in town, and a free game-day shuttle to and from Kyle Field. Garage parking is available, too.

7. Aggie Park

Located in the heart of the Texas A&M campus, beautiful Aggie Park is designed to be the hottest spot in Aggieland on game day weekend – outside of Kyle Field. of Kyle Field. The picturesque outdoor offers tailgating, stunning water features, an outdoor amphitheater, a performance pavilion, and public Wi-Fi, making it a perfect place to celebrate another Aggie victory.

8. Aggieland Official Watch Party

Don’t have game tickets? Then, head to Stage 12 for the official Aggieland watch party, just a short walk from Kyle Field. Watch the game on the massive screen as you enjoy refreshments, grab-and-go meals, and bar drinks. Stage 12 has a fantastic atmosphere and is the next best thing to being at Kyle Field.
