College Station celebrates its women who build during Women in Construction Week

3 min read

By Grace Hallowell, Marketing Coordinator

In College Station, building isn’t just about infrastructure; it’s about shaping our community’s future.

During Women in Construction Week, we recognize those across our organization who help design, manage, operate, and maintain the systems that keep College Station strong and growing. From capital projects and engineering to solid waste, environmental compliance, and development services, their work supports the neighborhoods we live in, the businesses we attract, and the quality of life our residents expect.

These women are leaders in the field and at the planning table. Every day, they build streets, improve utilities, guide development, protect the environment, and ensure that College Station advances with intention and excellence.

By highlighting their leadership and expertise, we also hope to inspire the next generation — students, young professionals, and career changers — to view construction and infrastructure as meaningful, impactful career paths.

College Station is a city that plans, invests wisely, and believes strong infrastructure builds strong communities. The women recognized this week are essential to that work:

Capital Projects

Public Works

Planning and Development Services

Water Services

Electric

Thank you for all you do for the community – and for inspiring others to follow!
