Here are five items to watch when the College Station City Council gathers Thursday at city hall for its workshop (6 p.m.) and regular (7 p.m.) meetings:
- Public Works Week: The council will recognize this being National Public Works Week, which is designed to highlight how public works contributes to a community’s quality of life.
- Texas Garden Club of the Year: The council will recognize the A&M Garden Club for being named Texas Garden Club of the Year for 2012.
- Arts Council Building Use Agreement: The council will consider renewing the building use agreement with the Arts Council of Brazos Valley for a two-year term.
- Rezoning at Barron Road/Victoria Avenue: The council will consider rezoning about 3.7 acres at the intersection of Barron Road and Victoria Avenue to Suburban Commercial.
- Northgate Loading Zones: After a public hearing, the council will consider approving additional commercial loading zones in the Northgate District.
