Fall is upon us and what better way to celebrate than participating in Friday’s National Visit a Park Day. The National Recreation and Parks Association encourages you to visit and enjoy a local, state, regional or national park.
The event is designed to motivate you to take advantage of the recreation and education available in our parks to spark healthy habits, renew a sense of appreciation for nature and community, and inspire a lifetime of enjoyment.
The City of College Station’s nationally-recognized Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of learning, recreation and leisure activities for all ages. Our 52 developed parks are loaded with fun-filled amenities, and we invite you to jog or hike our nature trails, fish one of our stocked ponds, or get involved in our sports or community programs.
While you’re enjoying the fresh fall air at our beautiful parks, we encourage you to take pictures and share your experiences with us by uploading the photos to Facebook or Twitter (#CSTXparks).
