Here are five items to watch:
1. Happy Birthday, City of Bryan!
Mayor Karl Mooney will issue a proclamation commemorating the City of Bryan’s 150th birthday on Nov. 29.
2. College Station Holiday Activities
The council will discuss Christmas activities and events in College Station that are intended to attract holiday visitors. The council will also discuss related business partnerships and entertainment options.
3. Francis Drive Phase III Project
As part of the consent agenda, the council will consider a $279,750 contract with Kimley-Horn & Associates for designing the Francis Drive Rehabilitation Phase III project. The work will reconstruct Francis from Walton Drive and include storm sewers and sidewalks.
4. Comp Plan Processes, Notifications
After a public hearing, the council will consider changes to Comprehensive Plan amendment processes and notifications. Changes include requiring mailed notices and neighborhood meetings for Future Land Use & Character Map amendments and comprehensive plan amendment applications to be paused six months before a major update to prevent conflicts between the requests and the update.
5. Impact Fees
The council will consider the semi-annual report on system-wide water, wastewater, and roadway impact fees. After public hearings, the council will also consider an update to the plan, revision of fees, and changes to collection rates.
