5 things to watch at Thursday's city council meeting

The College Station City Council meets Thursday after 5 p.m. at city hall. The meeting is streamed live on Suddenlink Channel 19 and at cstx.gov/cstv19.

To join online, go to Zoom or call 888 475 4499 and enter webinar number 967 2839 3278. If the call-in number isn't working, access is limited to Zoom.

To address the council about any item on the workshop or regular agenda, you must register with the city secretary by 3 p.m. or call 979-764-3500 and provide your name and phone number. Written comments will be provided to the council members.

Here are five items to watch:

1. Bond Recommendations

The council will discuss the projects recommended by the Citizen Bond Advisory Committee for a possible bond election in November.

2. Neighborhood Character

The council will discuss options for preserving neighborhood character, including additional overlays.

3. Bike-Share Ordinance

The council will discuss possible updates to the dockless bike-share ordinance to include electric modes such as scooters.

4. TxDOT Agreements

The council will consider agreements with TxDOT for a shared-use path on FM 2818 and separated bike lanes on George Bush Drive.

5. Budget Amendment

The council will consider an $11.7 million amendment to the FY 22 budget, mainly for higher purchased power costs.
