Celebrate National Bike Month by participating in the Cycle with Council bike ride on May 6

By Carl Ahrens, Transportation & Mobility Staff Planner

In observance of National Bike Month, the College Station City Council invites residents to participate in the annual Cycle with Council bike ride on Saturday, May 6. The casual 4½-mile ride celebrates the joy of riding and promotes various bicycle facilities around town.

The free event starts at 8 a.m. at the CSU Meeting and Training Facility at 1603 Graham Road. The route features on and off-street bicycle facilities and runs through Edelweiss and Edelweiss Gartens Parks.

Cyclists of all ages and abilities are welcome, but kids 16 years and under must be accompanied by an adult. You can register online through Thursday, May 4, or near the starting line on the event day. Each participant must also complete and return a liability form before the ride.
