Welcome the Tigers and celebrate Aggie game day with the festive SEC Tailgate at 1207 Texas

By Casey Barone, Economic Development & Tourism Events Coordinator

Visit College Station invites residents, Aggies, and visitors to welcome the Auburn Tigers to town at the first SEC Hometown Tailgate from 8-10 a.m. on Saturday at the College Station Visitors Center at 1207 Texas Ave. The game starts at 11 a.m. at Kyle Field.

The free tailgate event features breakfast tacos from Cooper’s Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que, beverages, live music, games, and an opportunity to shop our exclusive Visit College Station merchandise and check out all College Station offers. The SEC tailgate is also fantastic for taking photos at the popular “I Heart Aggieland” sign across the city hall lawn.

Since Kyle Field is only 1½ miles away, you can park free at city hall and walk to the game. Visit College Station will hand out stadium-approved swag bags, and one lucky attendee will win a gift basket filled with great tailgate prizes!

Whether you are a visiting or Aggie fan, you’ll be primed for the game after our SEC Hometown Tailgates. Here’s the remaining schedule (the parties start three hours before kickoff):

Oct. 7: Texas A&M vs. Alabama (time TBA)
Oct. 28: Texas A&M vs. South Carolina (time TBA)
Nov. 11: Texas A&M vs. Mississippi State (time TBA)

Gig ’em, Aggies!
