The College Station City Council meets at City Hall on Monday after 6 p.m. The meeting will be streamed live on Optimum Channel 19 and at cstx.gov/cstv19.

To address the council about any item on the workshop or regular agenda, register with the city secretary by 4 p.m. or call 979-764-3500 and provide your name and phone number. Written comments will be provided to the council members.

Here are five items to watch:

1. Texas Independence Park/Future Ballfields

In the workshop, the council will receive a presentation regarding the ballfields and enhancements to Texas Independence Park and a report on public engagement. Potential action will also be discussed.

2. Civil Penalties for Overoccupancy Violations in ROO

The council will consider a request to amend Chapter 26, “Miscellaneous Provisions and Offenses,” of the Code of Ordinances. The proposed amendment aims to address concerns about overoccupancy in Restricted Occupancy Overlay (ROO) areas and ensure that civil penalties are in place for violations.

3. Midtown Reserve Rezoning

After a public hearing, the council will consider a request to change the zoning from Rural to Planned to Development District for about 19 acres southeast of Rock Prairie Road and Calaveras Court. The applicant plans to expand the Midtown Reserve development.

4. Cat Hallow/Glenhaven Estates Rezoning

After a public hearing, the council will consider a request to change the zoning from General Suburban to General Suburban/Restricted Occupancy Overlay for about 21 acres between Brazoswood Drive and Dominik Drive.

5. Rock Prairie Road West Rezoning

After a public hearing, the council will consider a request to change the zoning from Rural to Townhouse for about 16 acres at 3700 Rock Prairie Road West. The applicant plans to develop a townhome subdivision on the vacant property.
