Summer is almost here, and it’s time to beat the heat at one of College Station’s fantastic public pools. Whether you’re looking to exercise, enjoy a lazy day in the sun, or let your kids learn swimming skills and water safety in a fun environment, we have something for you.
Adamson Lagoon opens Saturday, and Cindy Hallaran Pool opens next Tuesday!
Adamson Lagoon, 1900 Anderson
Adamson Lagoon is a tropical-themed mini water park with an Olympic-sized pool, two giant water slides, and a separate baby pool. Open swims are available 1-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon-7 p.m. on weekends.
On Aug. 17, hours will shift to 2-7 p.m. on weekends until the swim season ends on Sept. 2. Adamson Lagoon will also have special holiday hours of noon-6 p.m. on Memorial Day (Monday!), Independence Day, and Labor Day. Daily admission is $7, and children 2 and under are free.
Concessions are available for purchase, but outside snacks and drinks are allowed – just no alcohol or glass containers.
Cindy Hallaran Pool, 1600 Rock Prairie Road
Cindy Hallaran Pool features a 25-yard, zero-depth pool with a beach entry. It is ideal for families with small children or anyone looking for a laid-back environment. The pool opens on Tuesday, May 28, and is available from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon-7 p.m. on weekends.
The pool will be closed on Independence Day and will close for the season on August 11. Admission is $4 per day, and children 2 and under enter for free.
