After the massive Mexico-Brazil soccer game and the record-setting George Strait concert this month, you could be forgiven for thinking the rest of the summer will be relatively quiet in College Station.

Think again. We have more history to make.

From July 20-28, over 9,000 of the nation’s top young athletes will gather here for the prestigious USA Track and Field National Junior Olympics on the Texas A&M campus. They’ll be joined by thousands of supporters, coaches, and die-hard track fans.

The best part is that many of these same competitors will likely represent Team USA in future Olympic Games. It has all the markings of another incredible, unforgettable event, but here’s the catch – we need your volunteer spirit to make it succeed.

We need scores of volunteers to help with event setup and teardown, registration and check-in, field event assistance, and hospitality and information. Whether you contribute a few hours, a few days, or the entire week, your support will be invaluable. The event includes two setup days (July 20-21) and seven competition days (July 22-28).

Volunteers must complete a brief SafeSport Training certification to ensure a safe and positive environment for the participants. You’ll receive more information after you sign up. Due to SafeSport requirements and the care of athletes that are minors, all volunteers must be 18 or older.

Events of this magnitude would be impossible without community volunteers working together to create a memorable experience for thousands of talented athletes and future stars. As a volunteer, you won’t forget it, either.

Join us in making the USATF Junior Olympics another remarkable College Station success story. Don’t miss this chance of a lifetime!
