Parks and Recreation Month is an ideal opportunity to highlight and celebrate the incredibly positive impact parks and recreation programs, services, and dedicated employees have on our community and quality of life.

This year’s theme, “Where You Belong,” celebrates the countless ways our park and recreation professionals create welcoming environments for all. The City of College Station is thrilled to join in the festivities by highlighting stories of how citizens, employees, visitors, and more find their place and sense of belonging through our parks and recreation programs.

Throughout July, we’ll share inspiring content through the city blog and social media channels that showcase our services’ profound impact on all ages and abilities. Our commitment to fostering a sense of belonging and providing safe spaces and accessible environments shines through in all we do.

Join the Celebration

We invite you to celebrate Parks and Recreation Month by sharing your stories of what our programs mean to you. Whether you’re a long-time resident, a new community member, or just visiting, we hope you find a sense of belonging through our Parks and Recreation services.

When sharing your stories, tag us and use the official hashtags #WhereYouBelong, #WhereIBelong, #ParkandRecMonth, and #ParkandRecMonth24.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We sincerely thank the park and recreation professionals who make it all possible. Their dedication is truly commendable.

Let’s make this Parks and Recreation Month memorable by celebrating the many ways to participate and recreate in such a dynamic and growing community. Together, we can continue building a place where everyone feels welcome, valued, and connected.
