As part of a recent FlashVote survey, the City of College Station asked residents about their preferred methods for receiving essential city information and updates.

The most significant finding was the community’s desire for an informative newsletter conveniently delivered to their inboxes. We already have outstanding niche newsletters for neighborhoods and parks, but residents also want more comprehensive information about their local government.

That invaluable feedback inspired the creation of I Heart CS, our new monthly digital newsletter. The full-color magazine format features city news, services, and special events, with updates about capital projects, economic development, city council activities, city finances, and much more.

Our overarching focus was to create an informational resource that reflects the city’s heart and showcases what makes College Station an incredible place to live, work, and play. We also wanted to spotlight the dedication of city employees to our community.

The newsletter emphasizes the core topics most valued by residents:

  • Capital project updates
  • City services (trash/recycling, utilities, road maintenance, etc.)
  • City council activities
  • Special events and programs
  • City finances (budget, tax rates, etc.)
  • Economic development
  • Helpful tips (public safety, conservation, etc.)

New editions will be emailed to subscribers on the first Tuesday of each month, packed with timely, relevant information that matters. It will also be available on the city website.

The City of College Station looks forward to keeping you connected to the latest news, updates, and stories that contribute to the fabric of our community. Make I Heart CS your favorite way to stay in tune with the Heart of Aggieland!
