New tourism committee to help enhance College Station's hospitality and economic strength

In 2020, the City of College Station established a dedicated tourism office to promote our community as a premier destination for visitors and events. Visit College Station has since played a pivotal role in supporting the local economy by attracting tourists and fostering community pride.

To help advance those efforts, the College Station City Council recently created a Tourism Committee to guide our tourism initiatives and ensure a sustainable approach to growth. The committee’s responsibilities will include overseeing the Tourism Strategic Plan and recommending hotel occupancy tax grants for sports and conventions.

Our collective purpose is to strengthen College Station’s reputation as a dynamic destination and ensure the thoughtful allocation of resources to maximize economic and cultural benefits for the community.
