To address the Council about any item on the agenda, register with the city secretary by 4 p.m. or call 979-764-3500 and provide your name and phone number. Written comments will be provided to the Council members.

Here are five items to watch:

1. B-CS Library System’s 70th Anniversary

The council will present a proclamation recognizing the Bryan+College Station Public Library System‘s 70th anniversary. The system was recently awarded an Achievement of Library Excellence Award for the second consecutive year.

Of the 542 public libraries in Texas, fewer than 20% receive the recognition, putting the local library system in the top tier of the state’s public libraries.

2. Annual Audit, Financial Reports

The council will consider the annual audit reports and Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the FY 24 fiscal year that ended Sept. 30.

3. Church Street Easement

After a public hearing, the council will consider abandoning an 872-square-foot sidewalk easement on the south side of Church Avenue near the Boyett Street intersection. The applicant will dedicate a public access easement along the northwest property line to provide access to a new sidewalk.
