Here are five items to watch:

The council will discuss the City’s street maintenance program.

2. Midtown Development

3. Legislative Engagement

The council will discuss the City’s engagement activities with the 89th Texas Legislature.

4. Budget Amendment

After a public hearing, the council will consider a $2.38 million amendment to the City’s FY 25 budget, primarily to add two police officers and 12 firefighters via grant funding. A transfer from the Electric Operating Fund to the Electric Capital Projects will eliminate the need to issue debt in FY 25 for electric capital projects. A detailed list of items in the amendment is on page 239 in the meeting packet.

5. Pool Inspections

The council will consider an ordinance establishing a public pool inspection program administered by the Brazos County Health District.
