Our Parks and Recreation team has your summer entertainment covered with several outstanding events residents of all ages can enjoy. From morning yoga in the park to movie nights by the pool, you don’t want to miss this sun-sational lineup!
Summer Movies at the LRC
Friday, June 6 and Friday, July 11
Gather your crew for two family-friendly Summer Movies at the Lincoln Recreation Center. The June 6 feature is Kung Fu Panda 4, followed by Despicable Me 4 on July 11.
The doors open at 6 p.m., and the movies start at 7.
Guests are welcome to bring chairs, refreshments, and food, but coolers must be 48 quarts or smaller. Alcohol and glass containers are not allowed. Sorry, pets aren’t allowed.

Yoga in the Park
Saturday, June 7 & 21, and Saturday, July 12 & 26
Unwind, connect, and rejuvenate on select Saturdays at Yoga in the Park in Wolf Pen Creek Park. All skill levels are welcome, seasoned yogis and beginners alike.
Each class begins at 8 a.m. Yoga mats are provided while supplies last; however, feel free to bring your own. Also, remember to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Don’t miss this chance to enjoy the outdoors while working on mindful practices to ease stress.
Father’s Day Game Day
Friday, June 13
Join us for a special Father’s Day Game Day at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 13, at the Lincoln Recreation Center. Enjoy a light lunch, entertainment, and door prizes. Wear your favorite team shirt or jersey.
Dive In Movie Night
Friday, June 13, and Friday, Aug. 8
Relax in Adamson Lagoon while watching a movie on our giant 32-foot inflatable screen on Dive In Movie Night on June 13 and Aug. 8. The June 13 feature is Surf’s Up, followed by Finding Nemo on Aug. 8.
The gates open at 7:30 p.m., and the movie begins at sunset. Admission is $7 per person, with children under 2 admitted free of charge.
Concessions will be available for purchase. Inflatables and flotation devices are not allowed, but Coast Guard-approved life vests are provided and permitted.
Starlight Music Series: Tejano Night
Saturday, June 14
The 2025 Starlight Music Series season ends with an evening of Tejano music on Saturday, June 14. The performers will be announced later. Admission is free.
The gates open at 6 p.m., with the concert beginning at 7 p.m. Free parking is available at Post Oak Mall (on the old Macy’s side), with accessible parking available along Colgate Drive.

Juneteenth Celebrations
Wednesday, June 18
Freedom March & Breakfast: Celebrate Juneteenth at the Freedom March and Breakfast from 9-11 a.m. at the Lincoln Recreation Center. The march will take place through the surrounding neighborhood, followed by a delicious breakfast, a musical performance, and a reading of “The Emancipation” by the Houston Chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers.
Party at the Pavilion: The celebration continues with the Party at the Pavilion from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Recreation Center Pavilion. The vibrant and joyous event will celebrate freedom with music, activities, culture, and community spirit.
Latin Dance Social
Saturday, June 28 and Saturday, July 26
Put on your dancing shoes and get ready for a night of bachata and salsa dancing at the Latin Dance Social on June 28 and July 26 from 7:30-10 p.m. at the Southwood Community Center.
Whether you’re an expert or need some tips, our dancing host can help get your hips moving.
I Heart America Celebration
Friday, July 4
Enjoy music, food, and a spectacular fireworks show on July 4 at the City of College Station’s official Independence Day event, the I Heart America Celebration!
Gates open at 7 p.m., followed by live music from Infinite Journey at 8. The fireworks show starts at 9:30. Free parking is available at Post Oak Mall, with accessible parking near Colgate Drive.
You may bring refreshments, but no kegs or glass containers are allowed. Coolers must be 48 quarts or smaller. Chairs are welcome but not in designated blanket-only seating areas.

Seniors Night Out
Friday, July 18
Seniors aged 55 and older are invited to Seniors Night Out on July 18 from 6-9 p.m. at the Southwood Community Center. Guests come dressed in themed attire for an evening of cards, board games, dominoes, and dancing to country music and oldies from the 1960s to the 1980s.
Light refreshments will be served, and registration is not required.
