The College Station City Council meets at City Hall after 6 p.m. on Thursday. The meeting will be streamed live on Optimum Channel 19 and at cstx.gov/cstv19.

To address the Council about any item on the agenda, register with the city secretary by 2 p.m. or call 979-764-3500 and provide your name and phone number. Written comments will be provided to the Council members.

Here are five items to watch:

1. Affordable Housing Fee Waivers

The council will discuss fee reductions or waivers for affordable housing.

2. Drainage Maintenance Update

The council will review the City’s drainage maintenance standards and possible projects along Bee Creek.

3. Solid Waste Rate Study

The council will review a recently completed Solid Waste Rate Study, which evaluates existing rates and potential changes.

4. Harvey Mitchell Land Use/Rezoning

After a public hearing, the council will consider a request to change the land use from General Commercial to Urban Residential and the zoning from General Commercial/OV Corridor Overlay to Planned Development District for about 2.75 acres at 2360 Harvey Mitchell Parkway south of the Dartmouth Street intersection. The applicant plans a single-unit residential development with parking, driveways, detention, and landscape buffers.

5. Levitt AMP Grant Application

The council is considering an agreement with the Arts Center of the Brazos Valley for the Levitt AMP grant application to provide up to $40,000 in matching funds for a yearly concert series for three years (2026, 2027, 2028). The 8-10 concerts would occur at Northgate in from late spring to early fall.
