Last year, the City of College Station’s inaugural Independence Day weekend celebration was a rousing success with an estimated crowd of over 3,000 packing the beautiful Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater, and thousands more enjoying the spectacular fireworks display from nearby vantage points.

On Friday, the I Heart America Fourth of July Celebration, presented by Xfinity, returns to Wolf Pen Creek Park with a dazzling fireworks show, delicious food, and a live concert by Infinite Journey, the acclaimed Journey tribute band. Your family can enjoy complimentary watermelon and sausages on a stick while supplies last.

Admission is free!

Gates open at 7 p.m., the party begins at 8 p.m., and the fireworks show starts around 9:30 p.m., lighting the sky with a stunning display of colors set to patriotic music. Free parking is available at Post Oak Mall with accessible parking near Colgate Drive.

Food trucks will be on-site, and you are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, snacks, coolers (no larger than 48 quarts), and blankets. Kegs and glass containers are not allowed. The event also includes a special kids’ area with games and other fun activities to keep your youngsters entertained until the main event.

The City of College Station extends a special thank you to our Revolution Sponsor, the College Station Noon Lions Club, and our Independence Sponsor, H-E-B.

Motorists are also advised that Holleman Drive east of Dartmouth Avenue will be closed at 5 p.m. For more information and updates, visit our I Heart America webpage.

Don’t miss this chance to make unforgettable Independence Day memories with your family while enjoying stunning fireworks, outstanding food, entertaining music, and convenient parking!
