College Station Parks and Recreation is gearing up for a full slate of fall and winter programs for first-time athletes, seasoned players, and fans who prefer to watch.

Programs are open to all skill levels, and you don’t have to live in College Station to register. Sign up online, by phone at 979-764-3486, or in person at the Central Park office, 1000 Krenek Tap Road, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Here’s a look at what’s coming up and the registration deadlines:

Youth Programs

Speed & Agility Training – Ages 5-13 • Register by Sept. 2
Junior Beginner Tennis – Ages 5-16 • Register by Sept. 22
Junior Intermediate Tennis – Ages 9-16 • Register by Sept. 23
High-Performance Tennis Academy – Ages 14+ • Register by Sept. 25
Winter Basketball – Ages 6-13 • Register by Dec. 1

We need volunteer coaches for winter basketball. If you’re 18 or older and can pass a background check, sign up today to help mentor young athletes.

Adult and Teen Programs

Kickball League – Ages 18+ • Register by Aug. 31
Volleyball League – Ages 18+ • Register by Aug. 31
Softball League – Ages 18+ • Register by Aug. 31
Ultimate Frisbee League – Ages 18+ • Register by Sept. 9

Sports Tourism

We’re hosting a variety of events at city-owned facilities that bring visitors and support the local economy through sports tourism. Here are the tournaments coming to town:
