Here are five items to watch:

1. Marion Pugh Rehabilitation

The Council will consider a $5.06 million contract with Brazos Paving for the Marion Pugh Rehabilitation Project. The project includes rehabilitating Marion Pugh from George Bush Drive to 300 feet south of Luther Street West and replacing the existing water main from Bush to the interconnect south of Holleman Drive West. The project is expected to be completed by early 2027.

2. Rock Prairie Road Rehabilitation

The Council will consider a $976,000 contract with Binkley & Barfield for professional services related to the rehabilitation of Rock Prairie Road from Fitch Parkway to the city limits. In addition to resurfacing, the project includes improvements to the existing open-ditch drainage infrastructure, the replacement of existing culvert crossings, and a new sidewalk extension to Lick Creek Park.

3. Phillips Square Concept Plan

After a public hearing, the Council will consider a request to amend the Planned Development District concept plan for about 2.6 acres at the end of Castle Rock Parkway. The change will reduce the rear and front setbacks and propose that the townhomes face private drives rather than a public street.

4. Mayor Pro Tem

The Council will elect one of its members as mayor pro tempore and appoint members to boards and commissions. The mayor pro tem acts as mayor in the mayor’s absence.

5. Midtown Baseball Complex

The Council will discuss the Midtown baseball complex project.
