The College Station City Council meets on Thursday after 6 p.m. at City Hall. The meeting will be streamed live on Optimum Channel 19 and at cstx.gov/cstv19.

We also encourage you to follow our live meeting blog at blog.cstx.gov. You can participate online through Microsoft Teams by entering Meeting ID 287 987 474 175 and Passcode gZw5cS. In addition, you can call 469-480-7460 and enter Conference Number 168 564 318#.

To address the Council regarding any item on the workshop or regular agenda, please register with the City Secretary by 2 p.m. by calling 979-764-3500 to provide your name and phone number. Written comments will be provided to the Council members.

During Hear Visitors, individuals may address the Council on topics NOT appearing on the regular agenda.

Here are five items to watch:

1. A&M Volleyball Day

Mayor Nichols will proclaim Texas A&M Women’s Volleyball Day in recognition of the Aggies winning the national championship in December.

2. Water Services Update

The Council will hear the annual update from the Water Services Department, including an overview of operations, key priorities, planned actions, and water conservation initiatives.

3. Traffic & Mobility Analysis Study

The Council will receive an overview of the Traffic Congestion and Mobility Analysis Study, which assessed 50 intersections based on existing traffic conditions and conditions projected in 2035.

4. Family Definition

After a public hearing, the Council will consider amending the City’s Unified Development Ordinance to define a family as “any number of persons occupying a single dwelling unit, including but not limited to those related by blood, marriage, adoption or guardianship or dependency. The term family shall not be construed to mean a club, a lodge, or a fraternity/sorority house.”  

5. Roadway Impact Fees

After a public hearing, the Council will consider amending the roadway impact fee collection rates in the City’s Code of Ordinances.
