In this week’s episode of “What’s Up, College Station?,” Recreation Supervisor Laurie Brown discusses Monarch March and the butterfly migration, the benefits of native plants, and how to create butterfly gardens and pollinator waystations.
To celebrate the iconic butterfly, College Station Parks and Recreation invites the community to its annual Monarch March on Saturday, March 28, from 9 a.m.-noon at the Gary Halter Nature Center. The free, family-friendly, come-and-go event features educational booths, games and helpful tips for creating a waystation or butterfly garden at home.
