Here are five items to watch:

1. Sponsorship Agreements

The Council will consider sponsorship agreements with Texas A&M for the USA Track & Field Lone Star Grand Prix ($175,683) and the Roadto26 soccer match ($500,000), both on June 6. Payments will be funded through the City’s Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund.

Some of the amount for the track and field event is contingent on reimbursement from the Texas Office of the Governor’s Event Trust Fund program. Half of the amount for the soccer match is contingent on the hotel occupancy tax revenue generated by the event.

2. Water Well Collection Lines

The Council will consider amending the construction manager-at-risk contract with Garney Construction to accept the guaranteed maximum price of $22.55 million for the remaining electrical components and a micro-tunnel under the Little Brazos River for the collection lines for the City’s three new water wells.

The project is funded through the Water Capital Improvement Projects Fund and is scheduled for completion by August 2028.

3. Harvey Road Corridor

The Council will receive an overview of the Harvey Road Corridor Redevelopment Plan, including processes and work to date.

4. Budget Amendment

The Council will consider a $5.15 million amendment to the City’s FY 26 budget, including $3.85 million in capital projects and an interfund transfer for a work order system replacement. A complete list of amendment items is on pages 485-486 of the agenda packet.

5. Sebesta Road Rezoning

The Council will consider a request to change the zoning from Rural/Estate to Restricted Suburban for the existing Holy Cross Lutheran Church property southwest of the intersection of Sebesta Road and Foxfire Drive. The zoning request provides consistent zoning throughout the development, allowing the applicant to make improvements.
