By Kelli Nesbitt, Parks & Recreation Marketing Coordinator

A quieter kind of splash is coming to College Station this summer!

The Parks and Recreation Department is introducing monthly Sensory-Friendly Swim Nights at Cindy Hallaran Pool — a calm, inclusive swimming experience designed for families and individuals seeking a low-stimulation environment.

To ensure a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for swimming, playing, and socializing, background music will be kept at a low volume, and lifeguard whistles will only be used in true emergencies.

Sensory-Family Swim Nights are scheduled on Friday evenings from 5-7 p.m. on June 12, July 17, and Aug. 7. Admission is $4 per person, and children 12 and under are free. Coast Guard-approved life vests are permitted and available for use.

For more information, contact the Cindy Hallaran Pool at 979-764-3787.
