The College Station City Council meets on Thursday after 6 p.m. at City Hall. The meeting will be streamed live on Optimum Channel 19 and at cstx.gov/cstv19.

To address the Council regarding any item on the agenda, please register with the City Secretary by 2 p.m. by calling 979-764-3500 to provide your name and phone number. Written comments will be provided to the Council members.

During Hear Visitors, individuals may address the Council on topics NOT appearing on the regular agenda.

Here are five items to watch:

1. Proclamation

Mayor Nichols will proclaim Saturday as American Business Women’s Association Day. Association members from across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas are in College Station for the 2026 Women Celebrating Women event running Thursday through Saturday.

2. Barron-Decatur Traffic Signal

The Council will consider a $337,872 contract with Larry Young Paving to build a new traffic signal at the intersection of Barron Road and Decatur Drive. The City’s $35,000 contingency brings the total appropriation to $372,872.

3. Capital Projects Update

The Council will receive an update on the City’s ongoing capital improvement projects.

4. Greater Northgate Plan

The Council will review the recommendations from the community-driven Greater Northgate Small Area Plan, including proposed public improvements in the Northgate District. The Council will also discuss the future of the surface parking lot and its surrounding area.

5. Easement Request

After a public hearing, the Council will consider a request to abandon a small portion of a 20-foot-wide public utility easement at 1902 Pebble Bend Drive. The adjustment will allow the property owner to build a swimming pool near the back of the property, while maintaining a 10-foot easement along the property line.
