During the Hear Visitors segment, individuals may address the council on topics not listed on the regular agenda.

Here are five things to watch:
1. Adamson Lagoon Slide
As part of the consent agenda, the Council will consider a $2.04 million contract with Landmark Aquatics for the Adamson Lagoon Slide Improvements Project. The City’s $203,700 contingency makes the total appropriation $2.24 million. The project includes plans for three new slides, a new superstructure and support piers, a new pump house, pumps, new power/electrical design and other related improvements through the Parkland Zone 1 Fund.
2. Big River Parking Removal
Also on the consent agenda, the Council will consider prohibiting parking on the east side of Big River Street from west of Little River Street through the cul-de-sac. Removing parking will better accommodate larger city vehicles and services, including solid waste and emergency services.
3. Off-Campus Student Services
The Council will hear an update from the Texas A&M Off-Campus Student Services Office on its programs, services and outreach to students living off-campus.
4. Northgate Overlay District
The Council will discuss a potential overlay district to limit building height in Northgate. Staff will present the results of engagement with property owners.
5. Safe Passing Ordinance
The Council will discuss creating a safe passing ordinance to require motor vehicle drivers to maintain a minimum distance when passing vulnerable road users such as bicyclists, pedestrians and motorcyclists to reduce the risk of collisions. The Active Transportation Advisory Board has provided mixed feedback.
