Whether a youngster is learning to dribble, working on their jump shot or eager to put their skills into action, the College Station Parks and Recreation Department’s Winter Youth Basketball League is a terrific place to learn and play.

The recreational league is designed for new and developing players ages 6-13 and focuses on basketball fundamentals, teamwork and sportsmanship. Along the way, players will build their skills, gain confidence, and have fun on the court.

Registration is underway through Nov. 29. You can register online, by calling 979-764-3486 or by stopping by our Stephen C. Beachy Central Park office, which is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The cost is $84 for residents and $100 for non-residents. Spots are limited.

The child’s age as of March 4, 2027, determines the division. Here’s a look at the divisions and days of play:

Volunteer Coaches Needed

Help young players learn basketball fundamentals while developing the values of hard work, sportsmanship and teamwork. Coaching experience isn’t required, and we provide the resources for a fun and successful season.

Parents who coach automatically get their children on their teams. Each head coach is allowed one assistant coach. Coaches must be at least 18 years old and complete a background check.
