Imagine standing under the lights at a big league ballpark and hearing your name announced as you step up to the plate.

It’s every ballplayers dream to make it to “The Show,” and if you’re a boy or girl between 7-14 years old, it could happen to you this summer.

The journey could begin at the free Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run Competition presented by Scotts on Wednesday, April 8 at Brian Bachmann Community Park. Registration begins at 6 p.m., followed by the competition at 7.

Baseball and softball players ages 7-14 are invited to show off their core skills by competing in pitching, hitting and running drills. Competitors can advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championships at all 30 Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the MLB All-Star Game on July 14 in Cincinnati.

Remember to bring a copy of your birth certificate and a parent or guardian to sign the registration form.

You may just find yourself standing in a Major League ballpark this summer!
