“Paddington” featured at Wolf Pen Creek on March 12

By Gerry Logan, Special Events Supervisor

UPDATE: Due to this week’s weather forecast, we are moving this event to Saturday, March 12. Same time, location and happenings.Parks & Recreation staff will continue to monitor the weather and update everyone by 3 p.m. on Saturday, if weather continues to be a factor.

With spring break just around the corner and adventure on my mind, I can’t wait to see “Paddington” on Friday, March 11 at the Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater. The showing is part of our popular Movies in the Park series.

Here’s the original movie trailer:

Gates will open at 6 p.m., and the movie starts at 7 on our 32-foot tall, high definition inflatable screen. Admission is free and pets are welcome!

Being a small child at heart, I loved Paddington when it came out in 2014. I especially enjoyed the movie’s major themes of adventure and kindness.

Our guests will have a chance to show their kindness by bringing a new teddy bear to donate to Scotty’s House Child Advocacy Center. Paw Paw’s Party Train and the Brazos Valley Bombers will also be at there to add even more fun to your movie night.

Just about everyone loves a picnic in the park, so pack up a dinner of marmalade sandwiches – and an extra just in case — and enjoy “Paddington” under the stars at Wolf Pen Creek.
