The best ways to celebrate a spectacular Fourth of July in College Station

By Cameron Hill, Economic Development & Tourism Marketing Manager

College Station is widely known for its bountiful expressions of patriotism. Texas A&M’s vaunted Corps of Cadets and the beautiful Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial exemplify how military duty and honor are embedded in our community’s foundation.

On Independence Day, College Station always takes tremendous pride in celebrating the land of the free and the home of the brave. We encourage you to get out and enjoy these exceptional family-friendly events:

Sunday, July 2

  • Celebrate the Fourth of July weekend with indoor rock climbing at Stone Co. Climbing! Climbing passes are $8 and they have routes for all age groups and skill levels. If climbing is not your thing, they will also have free hot dogs, JJ’s snow cones, yard games, fire trucks, and more from 5-10 p.m.

Tuesday, July 4

And don’t forget, the discharge of fireworks within 5,000 feet of the city limits is a misdemeanor and can result in fines up to $2,500.
