If you live in College Station, you know our summer traffic is relatively light, but the school year always brings significantly more traffic and longer delays.

As Texas A&M and our community continue to grow, meeting the resulting demands on our transportation network becomes more complex. Expanding development patterns and advanced mobility devices require more intricate approaches.

The City of College Station is developing a Traffic Congestion and Mobility Analysis framework to identify and monitor trends and congested corridors. The primary goal is to improve traffic and mobility while exploring feasible alternatives.

The analysis will be crucial in evaluating our transportation system, identifying current and future challenges, and devising data-driven strategies to boost mobility, promote safety, alleviate congestion, and enhance our overall quality of life. We expect to complete the study this fall.

We encourage you to complete a quick survey about your experiences on our roadways and share your preferences for different transportation modes that could improve our system. Your participation will help us understand our transportation needs and devise potential short- and long-term solutions.

The deadline to complete the survey is August 31, 2024.
