Are you looking for a peaceful way to start your morning while enjoying the outdoors?

College Station Parks and Recreation invites adults 18 and older to unwind and recharge with Yoga in the Park, a free community class at the Meyer Senior and Community Center patio on select Saturdays from 8-9 a.m. The welcoming program blends movement, mindfulness and fresh air to create a refreshing start to the day.

Schedule
April 11 & 25
May 9 & 23
June 13 & 27
July 11 & 25

Each session includes guided breathing, gentle warm-ups, and variations of Sun Salutations A and B, with modifications available for all experience levels. Whether new to yoga or experienced, participants can connect with their bodies, calm their minds and engage with others in a relaxed outdoor setting.

Instructor Tali Grant, an E-RYT 500-certified yoga instructor, has nearly four years of experience teaching yoga and fitness in the area. She began doing yoga as a form of exercise but soon discovered its mental, emotional and spiritual benefits.

Grant’s goal is for participants to leave each session feeling refreshed and renewed, in both mind and body, and encouraged to continue their growth on and off the mat. She looks forward to leading outdoor sessions where participants can slow down, breathe and move under the open sky.

Registration isn’t required. Yoga mats are available while supplies last, and participants are encouraged to bring water. Dogs aren’t allowed. In the event of inclement weather, the class will move indoors.
