The entrance to the College Station Cemetery

The College Station Cemetery, College Station Memorial Cemetery, and the Aggie Field of Honor are peaceful spaces to honor our loved ones. To keep these cemeteries safe, tidy, and well-maintained, cemetery workers conduct cleanups the last week of each month in accordance with City ordinance.

Temporary items such as potted plants, cut flowers, baskets, and floral decorations may be placed next to the monument on the plot, with a limit of two items per plot. Glass containers are not allowed, and digging is prohibited.

The cleanup includes the regular removal of temporary items, although removal is not limited to those dates. Staff may remove items at any time if they are withered or unsightly, pose a safety risk, impede maintenance work, or are located outside the owner’s plot.

Funeral-related items may remain for a reasonable period after interment, as determined by the cemetery sexton. Once removed, items should not be replaced as workers maintain the grounds for all visitors.

2026 Cleanup Dates

  • April 27–May 1
  • May 25–29
  • June 29–July 3
  • July 27–31
  • Aug. 31–Sept. 4
  • Sept. 28-Oct. 2
  • Oct. 26–30
  • No cleanups in November or December due to the holidays.

We strive to keep our cemeteries beautiful, safe, and dignified for all visitors. For questions about cleanup schedules, special circumstances, or to request assistance, please visit cstx.gov/Cemeteries or call 979.764.5049.
