Make Music Day is a global music celebration held annually on the summer solstice in more than 2,000 cities across dozens of countries — and it’s coming to College Station on Sunday, June 21.

The all-day, all-ages music festival is 100% free and 100% fun. Whether you’re discovering new local talent or grooving to your favorite tunes, Make Music Day invites you to join the beat for music made by everyone and enjoyed by everyone.

Celebrate Father’s Day

This year, Make Music Day also offers a unique way to celebrate Father’s Day. Skip the traditional gifts and spend quality time together enjoying live music all over town. With family-friendly performances, outdoor venues, local food, and great shopping, it’s the perfect way to make lasting memories with Dad while supporting local artists.

The city-wide event features live performances by local artists at some of our favorite places, including The Backyard, Stage 12, Century Square’s Front Porch and many more. Keep an eye out for vibrant pop-ups, surprise sets, and free shows across the community.

Don’t miss the spectacular grand finale as the Brazos Valley Big Band takes the stage at Century Square at 8 p.m. The talented 21-piece ensemble will bring the day to a memorable close with an evening filled with lively, high-energy jazz.

Launched in France in 1982 as the Fête de la Musique, Make Music Day is entirely unique. Unlike a typical festival, it is open to absolutely anyone who wants to participate. Musicians of every age, skill level, and genre can pour onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their craft with friends, neighbors and strangers alike.

As an official Music Friendly Texas Community recognized by the Texas Music Office, College Station is eager to spotlight our incredible local talent and celebrate the power of live music to bring people together.

We’ll see you on June 21 as College Station comes alive with the sound of music!
