The College Station City Council meets at City Hall after 6 p.m. on Thursday. The meeting will be streamed live on Optimum Channel 19 and at cstx.gov/cstv19.

To address the council about any item on the workshop or regular agenda, register with the city secretary by 4 p.m. or call 979-764-3500 and provide your name and phone number. Written comments will be provided to the council members.
Here are five items to watch:
1. Oaths of Office (3 p.m.)
Following the canvassing of election results, David White, Melissa McIlhaney, Bob Yancy, and Scott Shafer will be sworn in as council members by Municipal Court Judge Ed Spillane. A short reception for the new and outgoing members will follow the ceremony.
2. Thomas Park Redevelopment
The council will hear a workshop presentation about redeveloping Mabel Clare Thomas Park. The project was approved by voters in the 2022 bond election.
3. Big Events/Christmas in College Station
The council will discuss the economic impact of the large events last summer and the upcoming 2024 Christmas in College Station campaign. The events include the George Strait concert, the Mexico vs. Brazil soccer match, and the Junior Olympic National Track and Field Championships.
The Christmas campaign includes a brand refresh and a renewed partnership with Santa’s Wonderland.
4. Waterford Heights Rezoning
After a public hearing, the council will consider a request to change the zoning from Suburban Commercial to Office for about two acres at 4205-4211 Rock Prairie Road in the Waterford Heights Subdivision.
5. Northeast Trunkline Agreement
The council will consider an interlocal agreement with the City of Bryan regarding the Northeast Trunkline Phase 4 Sewer Project. The council will also consider a $1.03 million change order to reroute the line to Cooner Street/Chimney Hill instead of the Beverley Estates in Bryan.
